Risse, the Nordic Troll Baby

Risse is a Nordic troll baby from Kinderland in Florida. I am sure they found her over heated somewhere in the Glades and took her in. They found her a better home with me, in Maine. We have her climate here. If it is hot, we keep her inside or we take her to a cave somewhere up Mt. Battie. Risse is a quiet little forest/mountain troll with rusty colored hair and green eyes. She has a few freckles on her nose as well. We have made Risse some clothes to better help her stay warm, dry and hidden while she wonders the woods and mountains around here. She now has leather shoes, a vest and leather hat. She has a few pairs of wool socks to wear under the shoes, one pair are super long to keep her legs warmer in the winter. We dressed her in furs for her winter ventures. Oh and she has a long naked tail with a red tuft of hair on the end! We covered her tail by tying to fox tails to either side of it. We will make her a fur cape for this winter.
She will look something like this. (Ebay photo)

LOOK WHO'S HERE... Risse the Troll Baby!

Risse tests out her rabbit fur lined basket nest, and tries on her vest and necklace. She gets a Welcome to Maine treat, a pet Chickadee! And she is already wearing a pine cone patch.  Pine Trees are Maine's state tree
The back of her new leather vest... dangling leather leaves.
Front of vest.  Wool trim all around.
You can see part of her ID necklace.

I put her in the crib with 2 other babies, and she wants to climb out!

Risse tries out her basket outside in the woods.

Risse tests out her green pod to see how well it hides her in the greens.

Keeping her in the pod will keep her out of trouble for now.

From what I have read, trolls are supposed to be very ugly, unkept, messy hair, raggy clothing, and are supposed to be giants, but can be human sized. They are mischief makers and unlike gnomes, are not vegetarians.
"Risse" is a name for forest trolls. Trolls have been said to be shapeshifters, and able to blend in or hide easily in their environments, where ever they are. Some have trees growing from their hair, some are so very giant, they can become mountains. If you look closely, you can see a troll head shaped mountain or rock. In that case, it's easy to see how a tree might grow from a troll's head.

Risse has been given items that will help her blend in to the forest. Greens, browns, blacks and other neutral earth tone colors will be appropriate colors for her future wardrobe.  Since she is a Nordic troll, she will also own a few Nordic type sweaters that may have other colors in it that have a little pop to them. She sometimes needs to blend in with humans as well. So I have adopted this little heavyweight (5 pounds 9 oz., 21 inches) and agreed to raise her in the human world, with plenty of time spent in the forest with nature.

JUNE 3, 2017:  We took Risse out just reccently on a road trip to a favorite place to walk for us in a forest full of trails. It is Spring so she had to check out the new flowers, climb on the rocks and hide in the trees. I need to post her pictures from this past winter as well.
